Invisalign Cost in Miami — Full Cases vs Express, Honestly

Invisalign in Miami runs $4,500–$8,000 for comprehensive treatment; limited 'express' cases less. What decides your tier, and when braces beat aligners.

Typical all-in range, Miami

$4,500–$8,000

Performed by orthodontists for comprehensive cases; experienced general dentists handle genuinely mild alignment. Figures are regional estimates, not a quote.

Invisalign in Miami costs $4,500 to $8,000 for comprehensive treatment, and $2,500 to $4,000 for genuinely limited “Express” corrections. The single most important thing to understand: those aren’t price points on the same product — they’re different products, and your diagnosis picks the tier, not your wallet.

The plastic is not the product

Every Invisalign case in Miami uses the same aligner material from the same company. What you’re actually buying is the treatment plan — where each tooth goes, in what order, at what speed, and what the bite does when it gets there. That’s why an orthodontist-planned case and a weekend-course case can share a brand name and nothing else. Ask who plans the case, how many they run a year, and what happens when the mid-course scan shows teeth lagging the plan.

Where quotes hide the real total

Three line items separate an honest quote from a teaser: refinements (the extra aligner rounds most cases need — included or $500–$1,500 each?), attachments and IPR (normal parts of treatment, should be inside), and retainers (the $250–$900 ending every case requires). Add those to a low quote and the spread between Miami offices mostly evaporates.

Adults are the growth market — and the right one

Half of new aligner patients are adults, and Miami’s are older than the national average. Teeth move through bone at any age; the gate is gum health, not birthdays. Active periodontal disease must be stabilized before anything moves — which is a screening question we ask before matching, because moving teeth through inflamed bone accelerates exactly the damage you’re trying to outrun.

What moves the number

FactorEffect on your quote
Case tierExpress/Lite cases (small front-teeth corrections, 7–14 aligners) run $2,500–$4,000. Comprehensive cases with unlimited aligners and refinements are the $4,500–$8,000 tier. The tier is set by your diagnosis, not your budget.
Who plans itThe aligner is plastic; the treatment is the plan. Orthodontist-planned cases price a few hundred higher than GP-run ones and buy specialist judgment on bite mechanics, extractions and refinements.
Refinements included or notMost cases need one or two rounds of refinement aligners at the end. Comprehensive packages include them; cheaper quotes may bill $500–$1,500 per round later — ask.
Attachments and IPRTooth-coloured attachments and light enamel polishing between teeth are normal parts of real treatment and should be inside the fee, not surprises.
Retainers after$250–$900 for the set that protects the result — forever. Any quote without a retention plan is incomplete, and any patient who skips retainers is renting straight teeth.

The cheaper alternative, honestly

Braces: $4,000–$7,000 for metal, and still the better tool for severe rotations, large bite corrections and vertical movements — plus zero compliance risk, which matters if 22-hours-a-day honesty isn't your strength. Mail-order aligners are the false economy: no radiographs, no exam, no one accountable when roots move through bone they shouldn't.

Insurance

Many dental plans carry a lifetime orthodontic benefit of $1,000–$2,500 (sometimes adult-eligible, sometimes under-19 only — check the rider). It applies to Invisalign the same as braces. The remainder is where our financing partners come in: monthly terms subject to credit approval, decided by the lender; most practices also run interest-free in-house plans across the treatment period.

Questions

Why was I quoted $3,000 by one Miami office and $7,500 by another?

Almost certainly different products. The $3,000 quote is an Express/Lite tier — a limited number of aligners for a limited correction. The $7,500 is comprehensive: unlimited aligners, refinements included, bite correction planned. If your case genuinely fits Lite, the low quote is fine; if it doesn't, Lite ends with teeth that are 70% straight and an offer to upgrade. The diagnosis picks the tier.

Invisalign or braces — which wins for my case?

Aligners handle mild-to-moderate crowding, spacing and many bite issues brilliantly, invisibly, and with easier hygiene. Braces still win for severe rotations, vertical movements, and extraction cases — and they don't depend on discipline. The honest answer comes from an orthodontist who offers both and tells you why; that's who we match you with.

What happens if I don't wear them 22 hours a day?

Treatment stalls, teeth 'lag' the plan, and you buy refinement rounds. Aligners are a compliance contract with yourself. If you already know you'll cheat, braces cost the same and can't be left in a drawer — choosing them isn't failure, it's self-knowledge.

Are mail-order aligners a reasonable budget option?

They skip X-rays and clinical exams, which means nobody checked your roots, bone levels or gum health before moving teeth through them. Some mild cases get away with it; the ones that don't develop problems costing multiples of the savings. We won't match to them, which tells you our answer.

How long does treatment take?

Express cases: 3–6 months. Mild-to-moderate comprehensive: 8–14 months. Complex: 18–24. Then retainers at night — indefinitely. Teeth drift for life; retention is the part of orthodontics that never finishes, and it's cheap insurance on everything you just paid for.
